Hi Marcel Binot and cfadmin,

I watched the video on the cslafactory and I think it's a great idea.  Will there be templates that can be modified to customize the generated code?  If so, what kind of templates will there be?  Will they be similar to CodeSmith or MyGeneration templates?

Chris

Hi Chris,

CslaFactory uses the template-engine that is shipped with DSL Tools to generate BusinessObjects and related files. The templates that are used to generate classes are subdivided into smaller templates. These subtemplates will very likely be editable. In fact, they are editable at the moment. The syntax of the templates is similar to CodeSmith templates. You might want to have a look at Generating Artifacts Using Text Templates on MSDN to find out more about them.

Regards,
Marcel

Thanks Marcel for your reply.  That's great news that the templates will be modifyable.  Your product looks very promising :-)

Sincerely,

Chris
